Import a Honda NSX from Japan
The first-generation NSX — mid-engine, all-aluminium, VTEC V6, the everyday supercar. We source clean examples directly from Japan’s dealer-only auctions and handle everything through to your door.

The Honda NSX rewrote what a supercar could be: an all-aluminium, mid-engine VTEC V6 developed with Ayrton Senna’s input, engineered to be as usable as it is fast. Values of clean first-generation cars have climbed sharply. As a licensed proxy buyer with direct access to 120+ Japanese auction houses, KMT Global finds you the exact NSX you want, verifies its condition, and manages the purchase and export end to end.
You don’t need us to have one in stock. Tell us the generation, engine and grade you’re after, and we bid on your behalf at true wholesale auction prices — no dealer markups, no hidden margins.
Which NSX to import
The first generation splits into the NA1 (1990–1997) with the 3.0-litre C30A VTEC V6, and the NA2 (1997–2005) with the larger 3.2-litre C32B and a 6-speed manual. Early cars use pop-up headlights; the 2002 facelift switched to fixed headlights.
In Japan the car wears Honda badges (it was sold as Acura elsewhere). Manual-transmission cars are the most desirable; the automated F-Matic is less sought after. The rare NSX-R (Type R) is a track-focused, highly collectible variant. We confirm the exact spec and condition at auction before bidding.
Importing an NSX to your country
For the UK, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia the Japanese NSX is right-hand drive from the factory, so it fits RHD markets directly — there is no age restriction in the UK or Ireland.
For the United States, the first-generation NSX qualifies under the 25-year import rule; earlier model years have now passed the threshold, with later years following each year. Importing the Japanese-market RHD Honda NSX this way is a route to a car the US never officially sold in that form.
Whichever country you’re in, we handle the auction purchase, export documentation, de-registration and shipping, and walk you through what to expect at your end.
What it costs
The first-generation NSX is now an established collector car and prices vary widely with generation, mileage, transmission and originality. Tell us your budget and we’ll show you recent sold data and a realistic target range before you commit.
