Which Skyline to import
The performance generations are the R32 (1989–1994), R33 (1993–1998) and R34 (1999–2002). The halo model in each is the GT-R, powered by the 2.6-litre RB26DETT twin-turbo with ATTESA E-TS AWD and, on the R34, a 6-speed Getrag manual — the drivetrain most buyers want.
If a genuine GT-R is beyond budget, the RB20DET / RB25DET turbo cars — the GTS-t (R32) and GT-T (R34) — are rear-wheel-drive single-turbo Skylines that look the part and tune well for far less. We confirm the exact grade and chassis code at auction before bidding, so you get the car you’re paying for.
Importing a Skyline to your country
For the UK, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia the Skyline is right-hand drive from the factory and fits RHD markets directly — there is no age restriction in the UK or Ireland.
For the United States the 25-year rule applies: the R32 GT-R (1989 onward) is eligible now, the R33 has become eligible, and the R34 passed the threshold from 2024 by model year. Tell us the exact year and we’ll confirm its status before you commit.
