Which Chaser to import
The enthusiast generations are the X90 (1992–1996) and X100 (1996–2001), identified by their chassis codes. The JZX90 and JZX100 carry the legendary 1JZ-GTE 2.5-litre turbocharged straight-six; the X100 added VVT-i for stronger low-end response.
The trim to know is the Tourer V — the turbocharged 1JZ-GTE model, available with a 5-speed manual, and the default choice for drivers who want the full Chaser experience. The Avante trims are typically the naturally aspirated and comfort-focused variants.
Importing a Chaser to your country
For the UK, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia the Chaser is right-hand drive from the factory, so it slots straight into RHD markets — there is no age restriction in the UK or Ireland.
For the United States, the Chaser qualifies under the 25-year import rule. The entire JZX100 generation (1996–2001) has now reached the 25-year threshold, making it fully eligible for US import.
